Tipmont’s commitment to reliability, innovation and you

It was great to see so many of you in May at our Kilowatts & Brats events in Montgomery, Fountain and Tippecanoe counties. Several hundred of you joined us to learn the latest news from Tipmont, as well as enjoy delicious food and delightful conversation.

For those unable to attend, I wanted to share some brief notes about topics we discussed.

First off: Tipmont’s fiber internet project is performing well, with 2,000 subscribers added over the past 12 months. Half of all Tipmont members use our fiber internet, and the positive outcomes continue to grow as the technology transforms lives, families, farms and communities.

Competition from larger companies has increased, and we welcome the opportunity to keep earning your business. What sets Tipmont apart is a commitment to consistent and competitive pricing, a state-of-the-art network built for generations, and local experts who live here and can quickly help you when you need it.

Another strength is the way in which Tipmont worries. That may seem counterintuitive. But it’s human to worry. Tipmont converts worry into a strength by applying it to foresight, preparation and the circumstances of service we can influence and change to benefit you.

Major newspapers write about our nation’s electrical grid almost every day. America’s energy policy is increasingly top of mind. While Tipmont monitors policy closely, our guidepost remains the same: managing long-term cost, reliability and risk for our members. That’s pursuing more flexibility and control in how we secure power supply. That’s enhancing infrastructure to better serve you. That’s upgrading meters in ways that empower you to better manage the electricity you use.

We know you appreciate these distinctions because you tell us through member satisfaction surveys that deliver consistent high scores for Tipmont. What we hear is encouraging and lets us know we’re doing well. Later this year, we’ll convene small focus groups to zero in on what’s important to you and how we can get even better. Whether at Kilowatts and Brats, our Annual Meeting or just a chat in the community, your input is invaluable to the choices Tipmont makes every day.
