Tipmont Wintek to Provide Free WiFi Access at 2021 Tippecanoe County 4-H Fair

Thanks to Tipmont Wintek, visitors to the 2021 Tippecanoe County 4-H Fair can enjoy free WiFi access for the duration of the fair — from Saturday, July 17 to Saturday, July 24.

For a second straight year, Tipmont Wintek is also sponsoring online livestreams of livestock shows.

“From robust WiFi coverage to livestreams allowing those who can’t be there in person to share the joy of a livestock show, we’re proud to keep everyone connected at this year’s Tippecanoe County 4-H Fair,” said Rob Ford, Communication Director for Tipmont Wintek.

Free WiFi coverage will be available in the following buildings:

  • Coliseum
  • East Wing
  • West Wing
  • Swine Barn

To access the WiFi:

  • Find the Free WiFi From Wintek network
  • Accept the terms and conditions
  • Get connected to fast, free WiFi

To view livestreamed livestock shows, go to YouTube and search for the Tippe 4-H channel. Click Subscribe so you can catch every available stream. (Rabbit and llama shows will not be livestreamed.)

Tipmont Wintek advises precautions when using any public WiFi connection, including:

  • Using common sense when connecting to websites that require passwords or personal information (e.g., social networking, online banking, sites that store credit card information)

  • Considering use of a VPN if you access any sites requiring passwords or personal information

  • Ensuring up-to-date antivirus software and enabling your firewall

  • Visiting sites that use HTTPS connections rather than those using unencrypted HTTP connections
