Free Energy Assessments are always in season

It seems unfair to think about scorching hot days when spring has barely started. But now is the time to think about improvements that can keep your home cooler this summer and maybe even save you money.

An in-home energy assessment is an easy, convenient and free way to get started, and now you can schedule one online at tipmont.com/hea.

Free for any Tipmont member, in-home energy assessments take 60 to 90 minutes and could help you save on your monthly energy bill. Think of it as an energy efficiency-themed tour of your home with our Building Performance Institute-certified energy advisor, Kevin Carpenter, as he discovers areas to improve — including air leaks, insulation levels and repair or replacement of appliances.

Kevin will answer your questions and provide you with a detailed report on steps you can take to enhance energy efficiency at home.

As a member-owned co-op, Tipmont aims to serve you with reliable, affordable power. We’re always seeking ways to save you money, and improving your home’s energy efficiency is one of the best ways to help you do that.

Schedule your free energy assessment today at tipmont.com/hea or call 800-726-3953 (ext. 3) from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Kilowatts & Brats in May 2025

As I reported last month, Tipmont has reached an agreement with Wabash Valley Power Alliance (WVPA) to exit its existing WVPA contract over the next several years, beginning in June 2025.

Ahead of this, your Tipmont board is working hard to finalize details about the next steps. As their efforts continue, I want to thank WVPA leadership for collaborating with Tipmont to discuss and determine a path forward that benefits our members. This transition is among the topics we’ll discuss at our upcoming Kilowatts & Brats events.

As a Tipmont member, you’ll get free food and a forum to learn more about your co-op. Spots are limited, so be sure to register today at tipmont.com/kwb

We’ll also send an email reminder, so watch your inbox.

Our communication director, Rob Ford, and I will also be there to meet and greet you. We all look forward to answering your questions, engaging you in conversation and seeing you in person. Get your questions (and appetites) ready and register at tipmont.com/kwb.
