Consider running for Tipmont’s board of directors

The Tipmont Annual Meeting is held every year with the primary purpose of electing board members that govern our cooperative.

These positions are integral to Tipmont’s short- and long-term operations, as the board’s decisions can affect service rates, rights-of-way, work plans, and much more. Board members hold significant responsibilities and, as such, must understand their community’s needs and serve the best interests of all cooperative members. Upon their election (or re-election), each director begins a three-year term.

Our 2024 Annual Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Tippecanoe County Fairgrounds. Up for election this year are board seats in Districts 2, 5, and 7. Please see the district map for details.

Any Tipmont member in good standing and whose name is on the account is welcome to run for an open position on the board. Please call our office at 800-726-3953 for more information or to obtain an election application. Candidates must live within the district for which they are running and are required to receive at least 25 signatures of current Tipmont members to qualify for the ballot.

The election application must be submitted 85 days prior to the 2024 Annual Meeting — which is Friday, June 28.

Please encourage your fellow Tipmont members to run for positions on the board. Then, make sure you attend our Annual Meeting and vote for those individuals whom you think will act in the best interest of our collective cooperative community.

For more information, call 800-726-3953.
