Flickering lights caused by high winds

Members may experience flickering lights during today’s high winds. This quick “blink” is our system working to protect the grid and prevent a much longer power outage. If your power stays off for more than a few minutes, please check the breakers in your home before reporting an outage.

Tech Tips: Download CommandIQ® to Customize Your Home WiFi

Whenever you need internet support, our local experts at Tipmont are ready to help. But we also want to share some proactive tips and best practices to help you manage WiFi your way.

Today, we’re talking about how the Command IQ® app lets you customize your WiFi experience.

Available from Apple’s App Store and Android’s Google Play, the CommandIQ® app puts control of router settings in the palm of your hand.

It’s perfect for Calix GigaSpire systems like those Tipmont installs for fiber internet access, and it lets you personalize priorities of performance and security.

CommandIQ® functions include:

  • Network details: Change the name and password of your internet network.
  • Guest networks: Let visitors enjoy blazing-fast speeds while protecting your main network.
  • Speed tests: See your network speed with just a tap in the app.
  • Network map: View all devices connected via WiFi and Ethernet, as well as the specific network to which they’re connected.

Once you download the app to your phone or tablet, scan the QR code at the bottom of your Wintek router. Then, follow the steps on the app to set up an account and register your router.
