SmartHub will be briefly unavailable due to maintenance at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10. We anticipate the service will be available again after several minutes.

The latest on our meter upgrade project

Research and development are essential to Tipmont’s ongoing journey in energy transformation, where we’re seeking more sustainable, efficient ways to deliver the power you need. We’re not simply adapting to changing times. We’re leading the way in the cooperative space with tremendous benefit to you as a Tipmont member.

I wanted to offer you an update on our largest-scale initiative in our energy transformation efforts — our upgrades to every meter in use across Tipmont’s service territory. We’re nearly to the halfway point of a project that started in 2024 to upgrade to Revelo® smart meters. After some supply chain delays and rigorous troubleshooting to ensure the exceptional results you expect from Tipmont, we anticipate completing this project in 2027.

So, what will this mean for you? Here are several benefits:

  • Better and faster data to help detect issues before problems arise
  • “Last Gasp” technology that notifies Tipmont if your power goes out, which means our crews spend less time patrolling lines for issues to restore your service faster
  • The ability to leverage bidirectional flow from solar arrays, electric vehicles and more
  • Leading-edge technology from Sense, which lets you monitor your home’s electricity in real time in ways that can help you save energy and money.

As this project continues, Tipmont will mail you a postcard when your meter is scheduled for an upgrade. You don’t need to schedule an appointment or be at home when it happens. If your service is interrupted, it should last no longer than five minutes. And once we’re done, we’ll leave a door hanger to let you know we were there.

Updates to the Annual Meeting format

Mark your calendars for Saturday, Sept. 12, for Tipmont’s 2026 Annual Meeting … which we’re adjusting this year to accommodate the busy schedules of folks like you.

In lieu of an in-person gathering this year, we will offer four drive-thru locations in:

  • Lafayette: Tippecanoe County Fairgrounds, 1406 Teal Road
  • West Lafayette: Tipmont Battle Ground office, 1612 E. 600 N.
  • Linden: Tipmont Linden office, 403 S. Main St.
  • Veedersburg: Fountain County Fairgrounds, 76 W. U.S. Highway 136

Cast your ballot for this year’s District 4 election right from your car without driving too far. You’ll still get a bill credit just for attending and be able to ask questions of Tipmont experts.
