A “Thank You” to Tipmont’s staff

Although the deadline for this article was before our 2018 Annual Meeting, by the time it lands in your mailbox, we’ll have another meeting in the books. As I write this, Tipmont’s staff is putting the finishing touches on what we hope will be an informative and engaging experience for all in attendance.

Our Annual Meeting is an enormous undertaking each year, and I want to thank all of Tipmont’s staff who put in extra time in addition to their regular responsibilities to make this year’s event another success.

Accountant Keely Taylor served as our Annual Meeting chairperson throughout the year. She oversaw everything including coordinating with McCutcheon, the breakfast from the Outpost and the parking details. Unfortunately for us, Keely moved out of state mid-summer following her husband’s job transfer. While we miss Keely tremendously, Anita Pike from our IT department who was last year’s Annual Meeting chair stepped in without hesitation and picked up right where Keely left off.

In addition to leading the last few weeks of preparation, Anita also managed the initiative to add bar codes to our Annual Meeting ticket this year. We hope that this helped expedite the registration process so you can enjoy the fantastic breakfast sooner! The bar code technology is part of a larger software upgrade that will help our staff be more efficient and ultimately improve our service to you.

Board members Lynn Beck and Jan Harlow served on our Annual Meeting Committee and served as liaisons for the remaining board members. Other committee members included Rob Ford, Adam Crabb, Josh Caldwell, Curly Jasheway, Tolu Omotoso and Candice Cornetet. Each put forth extra effort to make this year’s meeting a success.

While our bylaws require us to hold an Annual Meeting each year, we embrace the opportunity to visit with all of you and to say “thank you.” You are the sole reason Tipmont exists, and we look forward to additional member meetings this fall where we can continue our conversation on fiber internet and listen to your feedback.

Speaking of fiber, I would be remiss if I didn’t also extend a thank you to all our employees who continue to oversee the infrastructure build that will deliver highspeed broadband internet, television, and telephone service over state-of-the-art fiber optic lines. As always, our Member Service team is available to answer any questions. You may also send me a note at ceo@tipmont.org.
