Tipmont REMC announces COO and CMO

Tipmont REMC and Wintek powered by Tipmont named Jeremy Konkle, PE as its chief operating officer and Jennifer Rufatto as its chief marketing officer.

Konkle, previously Tipmont’s vice president of engineering and operations, will lead and manage the delivery of Tipmont REMC’s services, including electric and fiber internet. His responsibilities will include electric and telecom infrastructure and operations, power supply, research and development, business intelligence, and metrics.

Rufatto will lead all external relations activities to attract and maintain members, engage the community and stakeholders, attract and retain talent, and manage strategic plans and initiatives. Her responsibilities include public and government relations, marketing and sales, member services, and human resources.

“We are excited to have Jeremy and Jennifer leading our cooperative,” said Ron Holcomb, President and CEO of Tipmont REMC. “Tipmont is reinventing what a cooperative can be in the 21st century and Jeremy and Jennifer will position us for continued success in delivering our essential services.”

Before joining Tipmont in October 2016, Konkle was a distribution and protection engineer for Wabash Valley Power in Indianapolis and a consulting engineer with Spectrum Engineering in Auburn, IN. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Purdue and an MBA from Purdue University Fort Wayne. He is also a licensed Professional Engineer (PE).

Rufatto joins Tipmont from Indiana Electric Cooperatives where she was vice president of communications and human resources. She holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Butler University and an MBA in global management from the University of Phoenix.

Rob Ford is Tipmont and Wintek's communication director, a role he's held since 2015. Rob has a bachelor's and a master's in Communication from Purdue University. He lives in West Lafayette with his wife and three children and has a life-sized Yoda statue in his office. Away from the office, you’ll find Rob working on his golf swing, jump shot, or hope for a Purdue basketball national title – all futile endeavors.
