Tipmont will perform routine fiber-optic network maintenance from 4 a.m. to 6 a.m. on Tuesday (6/3), Wednesday (6/4) and Thursday (6/5). Customers will likely encounter a 10- to 20-minute internet service outage during that timeframe, but service should self-restore. SmartHub will be briefly unavailable due to maintenance at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10. We anticipate the service will be available again after several minutes.
We’re saddened to share the passing of former Tipmont REMC employee Janet M. Goff Shoaf of Wingate on Saturday, Aug. 6. Janet worked for Tipmont as a meter technician from 1992 to 1994 and as a warehouse worker and assistant dispatcher from 1994 to 1999.
In her spare time, Janet was a meticulous seamstress and quilter, and enjoyed bingo, adult coloring books, and euchre. Memorial contributions can be made in her honor to the Montgomery County Animal Welfare League.
