SmartHub will be briefly unavailable due to maintenance at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10. We anticipate the service will be available again after several minutes.

Wi-Fi moves outdoors with a new Tipmont service

For some families, home Wi-Fi works a little like a game of “The Floor is Lava.” It’s strong in the living room, decent in the kitchen and suddenly spotty the second you step onto the patio.

With a one-time cost, no monthly fee, professional installation and coverage designed for real outdoor living, Tipmont’s new Outdoor Wi-Fi extends your connection to more of the places you use every day.

BUILT FOR OUTDOOR LIFE

Outdoor Wi-Fi is a weatherproof mesh unit designed to extend your existing home network into the places where life happens outside. Think porches, patios, backyards, pools, barns and sheds.*

The system is designed to be:

  • Hassle-free: Tipmont handles the installation and setup.
  • Weatherproof: Equipment is built to handle dust, water and wide temperature swings.
  • Secure: It works as part of your existing Tipmont network with modern encryption and regular firmware updates.

WHAT MEMBERS ARE SAYING

Tipmont members appreciate the extra freedom Outdoor Wi-Fi brings.

One member shared that hosting events is much easier now that everyone can stay connected across the property. Another said outdoor movies around the campfire have become a family favorite.

A ONE-TIME COST WITH NO MONTHLY FEE

Outdoor Wi-Fi is available for a one-time $350 charge, and professional installation is included. There are no additional monthly fees for the device, and it comes with a one-year warranty.

WHERE WILL IT BE INSTALLED?

Tipmont will mount the device on the side of your home in the location that offers the best coverage for your needs.

A few important details:

  • The unit must be within 300 feet of your indoor router for the ethernet connection.
  • Pole mounting is not supported at this time.
  • The outdoor Wi-Fi unit works only with a Tipmont-provided router.

If you use a third-party router and have placed your Tipmont router in bridge mode, the outdoor Wi-Fi unit will not work with your service.

READY TO GET STARTED?

Life outside should feel a little more relaxing — and a little less like a game of “The Floor is Lava.”

With Tipmont’s Outdoor Wi-Fi, you can extend your connection to the places where your family gathers.
