Pole Project Inventory Underway

Tipmont REMC’s system-wide pole inventory project kicked off in May — a partnership with utility data collection consultant VentureSum to audit all 52,000 electric poles across Tipmont’s service area.

Through November, VentureSum professionals will go anywhere that electric lines are present on Tipmont’s system. Please be aware that VentureSum may be on your premises at some point during this process. They may also require access to poles on a property, generally to gain access through fields.

Activities for the pole inventory will not affect your electric service.

The inventory will help Tipmont verify what members derive service from which poles, audit any physical attachments to these poles, identify illegal attachments, and ensure accurate billing.
