Since 2008, I have had the honor to represent Tipmont’s District 4 members as a Director, currently serving as the Board Chairman.

I was born and raised in southern Tippecanoe County, near Stockwell. In 1992, I graduated as valedictorian of my McCutcheon High School class and then attended Purdue University, earning a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics in 1998.

In 1995, I became a Trooper with the Indiana State Police. During 12 years of active duty, I had numerous opportunities and experiences, including involvement with planning and coordinating the 2001 Farm Progress Show held south of Lafayette, along with working numerous sporting events at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and working alongside REMC employees in 2005 amid Gulf Coast relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Currently, I manage my family’s row-crop farming operation in Tippecanoe, Montgomery and Clinton counties. My wife, Stacy, is a pharmacist, and we live in southern Tippecanoe County near Romney. We attend the Stockwell Community Church and are actively involved in several volunteer opportunities at Purdue.

I’ve been a part of numerous positive changes at Tipmont, including:

• The addition of high-speed internet service for members and the broader community, and
• A 2025 transition from stifling long-term power supply management contracts to market-based independence

Each of these initiatives has played a major part in your co-op’s success during extremely challenging economic times. The result has been electric rate increases that are below both the cost of inflation and below many surrounding co-ops and investor-owned utilities. It’s my priority for the Tipmont board to continue advocating for strategies that minimize impacts on members like you, made possible by our success with the broadband business and, now, local and strategic control of our power supply decisions to serve your needs.

Tipmont will continue to evolve. But what remains the same is the dedication of your Board and Tipmont employees to maintain a culture focused on providing you with reliable services at affordable costs.
