In October 2025, Tipmont distributed more than $20,000 in grants from its Operation Round Up program. For the communities Tipmont serves, these funds helped support STEM education and competition activities, sports activities for young people, beneficial tree planting, access to supplies for babies and their parents, resources for people transitioning from homelessness, and awareness to help prevent child abuse.
Operation Round Up
In Operation Round Up, you round up your monthly Tipmont electric bill to the nearest dollar. Your tax-deductible average annual contribution of $6 benefits such area nonprofit efforts as:
- Storage equipment and tools for Harrison High School Boiler Robotics’ FIRST Team 1747 to support robot construction for educational and competitive activities
- Training equipment and protective gear for Indiana Elite Softball and Baseball Academy, which offers indoor winter softball and baseball opportunities for area youth
- Beneficial tree planting through Tree Lafayette, which also offers education, leadership and inspiration in planting and caring for trees
- Diapers, baby wipes and formula for families in need for the Women’s Resource Center of Montgomery County
- Energy-efficient refrigerators and electric stoves for tenants entering Permanent Supportive Housing through Lafayette Transitional Housing, assisting stability for families or individuals exiting homelessness
- Brochures for the Tippecanoe County Child Abuse Prevention Council to create awareness during Child Abuse Prevention Month in April 2026
