Tipmont’s professional installer will perform a quick site survey to choose the ideal mounting location (balancing line‑of‑sight, coverage and aesthetics), run and secure the wired connection, mount and weather‑seal the unit to the outside of your home, and set proper grounding and surge protection.
On the configuration side they will update the firmware, set a strong admin password, enable modern Wi‑Fi 6 features and band‑steering, and choose the best channels and channel widths to avoid local interference.
Finally they’ll perform walk‑through throughput and coverage tests (indoors and outdoors), fine‑tune settings as needed, show you how to use the network and guest access, leave documentation, and schedule follow‑up support to ensure you’re satisfied.
Tipmont’s installer will professionally mount the device on the side of your home to provide the best Wi-Fi experience based on your usage needs. The outdoor Wi-Fi unit needs to be within 300 feet of your inside router for the connecting ethernet cable.
